The Perfect 48-Hour Casino Getaway, Hour by Hour

A concierge-written weekend — from Friday's check-in champagne to Sunday's slow checkout, with zero wasted hours.

I've written hundreds of weekend itineraries from the concierge desk. This is the one I give friends — the sequence that uses the resort's rhythm instead of fighting it. The trick is simple: energy up on Friday night, body down on Saturday morning, appetite up again by dinner, and the floor last, when you're relaxed enough to enjoy it.

Friday, 5 PM — arrival

Check in by five, bags to the room, and straight up to the Sky Terrace. Golden hour starts around 5:40 — a Story Bridge Sour at the raw bar while the bridge lights come on is the correct way to open a weekend. Dinner at Ember & Oak at 8, the rib-eye and the whole fish, then forty-five minutes on the main floor just to feel the room. Bed by midnight — the mattress does the rest.

A weekend shouldn't be scheduled — it should be scored. The tempo matters more than the list.Adrien Beaumont, Chief Concierge

Saturday morning — the body

Breakfast at The Conservatory at nine, then the thermal circuit by ten — vitality pool, grotto, cold plunge. The 90-minute Riverstone Hydrotherapy at eleven puts the week behind you properly. Lunch is a cabana on the pool deck at one; by three you're ready for the masterclass — two hours on the training table with a senior croupier, learning baccarat properly.

Saturday night — the peak

Dinner at Atelier 33 at 7:30 (booked three weeks out, always). The ten courses land around 10 — then the night splits two ways. Players take the floor until the small hours; romantics take the river launch for the 10 PM city-lights run, champagne on the forward deck while the tower burns gold behind you.

Sunday — the slow landing

Sleep in — late checkout is the point. Breakfast in bed at ten, a last circuit in the spa at noon if you want it, and checkout at two with bags held till you're ready to leave. If you must do one thing before the airport, it's the botanical courtyard with a coffee — ten minutes of green to end it.

The whole sequence takes 48 hours and leaves you feeling like you took four days. The concierge desk builds a personalised version of this free for any guest — send your dates through the contacts page and we'll write yours.

Quick Answers

The questions this piece raises most often.

Enough to taste it — this itinerary covers the signature experiences without rushing. Three nights lets you add a bay charter or hinterland day, but 48 hours done right is a complete weekend.

The Sky Terrace at golden hour. Every guest who's missed it has regretted it; nobody who's seen it has. Everything else can be rearranged — that hour can't.

Yes — free for every guest. Send dates and interests through the contacts form and a personalised version lands in your inbox within the hour.
